My Dad's Homecoming

My Dad, Dan Clark, went home to be with our Lord on September 1, 2006. It was a very sad day for us. Our family grieves deeply, but not as those without hope, for we know God's plan for our family is being perfected in and through our current grief and suffering. We rest in the assurance that God makes no mistakes. Although our hearts ache constantly, we continue to press on. We are thankful because even though at times we question His plan and purpose, His love is constant and He gives us mercy nonetheless. We are thankful that even though at times we are faithless, God remains faithful. Our God Almighty assured us in Luke 22:31-32 when He said: "... behold, Satan has demanded permission to sift you like wheat; but I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned again, strengthen your brothers."

Please be in prayer for us. Pray that God will use our grief for His glory and honor. We hold on to John 12:24: "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains by itself alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit". We are already beginning to see the enormous fruits of my Dad's life and his passing.

Pray also for my next CD with my Dad’s original songs. Pray that God will oversee its completion. Through God’s providence, my Dad finished recording the instrumentation for 9 of the 13 songs in the CD. My brother and I went back to the studio 3 weeks after my Dad passed away to continue the work he had begun. We hope to finish recording the rest of the 7 songs before the end of September. As to the remaining 5 songs that have not been instrumentally recorded, God has already sent us another talented musician who will do the instrumentation for the songs. James Madison Thomas, whom God providentially allowed us to meet and develop a deep Christian friendship with 4 years ago, through my music, will be recording the instrumentation for the 5 remaining original songs. Lord willing, we hope to release the new CD, “Never Say Goodbye" by the end of January 2007. This album is a tribute to our Dad.
